We are seeking individuals to fill the following roles for the 2025/2026 PTO Board:
President: The PTO President serves as the chief representative and leader of the Parent-Teacher Organization. This volunteer position is responsible for overseeing the organization’s activities, guiding the executive board, and ensuring that the PTO’s goals align with the needs of the students, staff, and school community. We are looking for someone with strong organizational and leadership skills, effective communication abilities, a collaborative and inclusive mindset and a genuine interest in supporting education and the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Organization:
Lead PTO meetings, set agendas, and ensure productive discussion and decision-making. Act as the point of contact between the PTO and the school administration. - Communication:
Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents, teachers, and the principal. Share updates through newsletters, emails, and social media. - Event Coordination:
Oversee the planning and execution of school events such as fundraisers, teacher appreciation days, family nights, and student enrichment activities. - Fundraising & Budget Oversight:
Collaborate with the treasurer to manage the PTO budget, organize fundraising campaigns, and allocate resources to school programs and needs.
Vice President: The PTO Vice President supports the President in leading the Parent-Teacher Organization and plays a key role in coordinating events, managing committees, and ensuring smooth operation of PTO initiatives. This position serves as a backup leader and often helps prepare to assume the role of President in the future.
Treasurer: The PTO Treasurer is responsible for managing the finances of the Parent-Teacher Organization. This role ensures that all financial transactions are accurate, transparent, and in line with the PTO’s budget and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed and accurate financial records, including receipts, invoices, and bank statements. - Financial Reporting:
Present regular financial updates at PTO meetings, including reports on current account balances, fundraising results, and spending activity. - Banking Duties:
Handle all deposits, write checks, and reconcile monthly bank statements. Ensure all transactions are properly authorized and documented. - Compliance & Accountability:
Ensure the PTO follows any legal or district financial guidelines, including submitting annual tax filings. - Fundraising Support:
Assist in managing the financial aspects of fundraising events, such as collecting money, tracking sales, and ensuring proper handling of funds.
Secretary: The PTO Secretary is responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring clear communication within the Parent-Teacher Organization. This role is essential for keeping the organization organized, informed, and running smoothly. The PTO Secretary takes detailed notes during PTO meetings, including decisions made, votes taken, and action items. He or she distributes the minutes to board members and the school community as appropriate.
Non-board positions include corresponding secretary, grade-level snack bar coordinators, ice skating social coordinators, trampoline park fundraiser coordinators, restaurant fundraiser coordinators and teacher and staff appreciation week coordinators.

If you would like to volunteer in the school, at any PTO events, or on any field trips, you will need to:
- Complete the Concord School District Volunteer Application.
- Call the Central Office at (603) 225-0811 to make an appointment to be fingerprinted and to complete your volunteer paperwork. Please bring your completed volunteer application and driver’s license to your appointment.
- Upon receipt of all documents, SAU8 will contact RMS to let them know you are eligible to volunteer. All of these steps are REQUIRED and must be completed before you will be permitted to volunteer.
